Atif Ateeq ‘06
Atif's work is in a show entitled “Brooklynites” at the Powerhouse Arena. Also, one of his images got selected for a show called “Access at the Gallery @ Harriet’s.” He now owns a clothing line that is doing well that has been picked up by stores in New York, Boston, and Philadelphia.
Aaron Cobbett ‘92
In June this year H&O Editions is released the book, COBBET for purchase in the US. For two decades Aaron Cobbett has been documenting hustlers, drag queens, and celebrities through his Tribeca studio.
Brian Denton ‘05
Brian is still working for the New York Times. He gave his first workshop in Dubai in June at SAE University, and enjoyed it. He covered the crisis in Lebanon for the first half of the year, and has been working from the NYT investigative desk on stories around the Middle East. He will be the personal photographer for a staff correspondent moving to Beirut, Lebanon in December. He’s also learning to make small video features for the Times website.
Maki Hirose ‘07
Maki is currently freelancing as both a photographer and digital assistant. He shoots a lot for HFN Magazine, and recently shot an album campaign for major music artists Salen and Powerman 5000. He works mostly for Drive In Studios. He is also doing web design, and test shooting for his book.
Diane Meyer ‘99
Diane participated in “Jamaica Flux: Workspaces and Windows 2007.” Featuring site specific public art pieces by 25 artists in a variety of locations throughout Jamaica, Queens. Her piece was an interactive trading post at Rufus King Park.
Richard Renaldi ‘90
Richard’s work will be featured in a solo exhibition entitled “Western Lives” at the Nicolaysen Art Museum & Discovery Center in Casper, Wyoming from September 14 - December 30, 2007.
Saviour Scraps (Katie Kline ‘05 & Shabd Simon-Alexander ‘04)
Saviour Scraps is in the group show, “Meta-Majesty” The show runs through October 21st. “Meta-Majesty” presents work from 8 artists and one artists’ collective that suggests a curious channeling of magic as a response to current earthly chaos.
Cody Trepte ‘05
Cody will be in the upcoming exhibit, “The Lining of Forgetting” which focuses on 14 contemporary artists who invite all to consider issues of memory and forgetting through their artworks; and highlighting how we mostly forget, rewrite, or fabricate memory. The show features sculpture, photography, and video.
