Calumet Photographic Gallery Show

The graduating seniors of the Department of Photography & Imaging in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts will exhibit a selection of their senior thesis exhibition at Calumet Gallery.  Entitled Selections from The Photography & Imaging BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition MMVII, the show will open on March 27 and be on view through April 23.
    
Selections from The Photography & Imaging BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition MMVII will be on view in the Calumet Gallery at 22 West 22nd Street.  Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 5 pm Saturdays.  The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free.  Photo identification is required for access to the building.  For further information, visit photo.tisch.nyu.edu, calumetphoto.com.
       
    The exhibition, comprising approximately 200 works selected from the students’ thesis projects, represents the visual and conceptual diversity of the department’s class of 2008.  The 37 graduates featured in the exhibition are: Bess Adler, Claudia Aires, Maxwell Andrews, William Arnold, Alicia Baird, Christopher Berntsen, Jacqueline Bovaird, Bonnie Briant, Jeremy Brinn, Raul Buitrago, Winnie C. Chang, Artemisa Clark, Alexandra Diczok, Nicole Davis Fineman, Megan Fingleton, Ashley Fischer, Catherine Gargan, Elena Getto, Halley Grogan, Ava Hassinger, Dana Michele Hemes, Sarah Henderson, Monique Jaques, Benjamin Jarosch, Jessika Joe, Laura Kaltman, Sidney Lo, Sophie Lvoff, Jessica Moore, Veronica O’Hern, Tamara Porras, Kristina Pugh, Brooks Saucedo-McQuade, Robert Sukrachand, Veronica Torres, Kimmy Wentling, Abraham Zimroth.
     
The Department of Photography & Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts is a four-year B.F.A. program centered on the making and understanding of images. Students explore photo-based imagery as personal and cultural expression. Situated within New York University, the program offers students both the intensive focus of an arts curriculum and a serious and broad grounding in the liberal arts.
