Studio and Critical Studies Courses

The program leads to a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree. Students are required to take classes in the department in studio and critical studies, and in the College of Arts and Science (CAS) in the liberal arts. Departmental courses are listed below.  Please visit the CAS Departments and Programs web site for more information on liberal arts courses.

During the academic year, NYU students outside of the department, or nonmajors, who are interested in taking Photography 1, please see the Open Arts course listings http://specialprograms.tisch.nyu.edu/object/xregphoto.html.  Those who are interested in registering for Photography & Imaging courses beyond Photography I, should look at the upcoming semester coursepack (when available, linked in the upper right hand corner) for procedures and restrictions.
