The Photography & Imaging Tierney Grant is an annual award established by the Tierney Family Foundation in 2005. The award is granted to a Photography & Imaging alum who has graduated within the past 2-7 years and have shown excellence in the field of photography. Eligible past applicants are encouraged to reapply. Past winners, however, are ineligible. The primary goal of the Fellowship is to find aspiring artists who will be tomorrow's leaders and to assist them in overcoming challenges that photographers face at the start of their careers.   

The award includes the following:

$5,000 cash award.

Exhibition at Tisch approximately 12 months after award

Mentoring from a committee member in developing project and exhibition

Upon completion of the project the grantee is required to submit a short written report explaining how the grant has influenced him or her. The grantee is also required to provide two final prints, chosen by the committee, to the Foundation for its archives.

An application must consist of:

Images (JPG format, max height 700 pixels, max width 1000 pixels)

Biography / CV / Resume

Statement of Purpose (What will you work on during the project year?)
